From the beginning, God’s plan has been for His people to be a light to the nations, drawing people from all tribes and tongues to himself. When we embrace the Great Commission, we participate in God’s great plan to redeem the world.

For followers of Jesus, loving God and loving our neighbors are foundational principles of life. When we truly love God and others, everything else falls into place, and God does great things in our lives.

Witnesses of Christ often become martyrs for Christ, victimized by the “beast from the abyss.” But neither the powers of this world nor death itself has victory over Jesus and his followers. God will ultimately breathe life into His church who faithfully bears witness to Jesus.

After the “great tribulation,” who will stand in the end? Only those from all nations who have been washed in the blood of the Lamb. Jesus is our only hope to overcome this world and find genuine peace

Judgment is an inevitable reality. Those who oppose Christ will be brought to justice. In the meantime, rather than live with bitterness, followers of Christ should faithfully “share in the sufferings” of Christ and bear witness to the sacrificial love of the Lamb, calling people to repentance.

The rise of evil in our world brings us great sorrow. When we need a word of hope, there is only One who is worthy to provide it—the Lamb who was slain. In Him, we see awesome power that compels us to authentic praise.

The Church today faces some of the same challenges the seven churches in Asia Minor faced at the end of the first century. The letters to them from the Lord raise an important question: Will we choose compromise or faithfulness?

We can anticipate the future when we better understand the past. Revelation gives us a heavenly perspective on history in light of what is to come. Amid all the perspectives and propaganda in our world, the One who is, and was, and is to come has the last word.

Sin exposed produces unspeakable guilt and shame. David sinned against Bathsheba, Uriah, the Israelite nation, and most of all, against God. That sin had consequences. So does our sin. But amid the shame and pain, God will meet us and stretch out His loving arms to embrace us with forgiveness.

With the world’s population of almost 8 billion people, it’s sometimes easy to feel overlooked and unnoticed. Hagar was discarded and forgotten by those around her. But God assured Hagar—and He reminds us—that He sees us.
