It's time for a little peak behind the scenes over here at TVC and a chat about how I navigate business seasons as a CEO at The Virtual Chapter and for the businesses that I support.

The 3 seasons that I want to talk about today are:

1. Expansion - growth and pushing past our limits
2. Integration - reflection, finding balance and long-term planning
3. Flow - alignment, optimisation and sustainable growth

We hit the ground running this year and we were well and truly in a season of expansion in January and February with new clients, new team, new offerings. Since then we have followed the natural course of things with a season of integration, and now we are moving into a season of flow.

This episode is all about what each of these seasons is, what they look like in business and how I support clients in each of these seasons as an OBM.

This is by far the most common question I get asked as the CEO of an online business support agency and OBM to some incredible business women.

In around 90% of the discovery calls I have when I ask what support is needed in the clients business, the tasks are very front end, marketing focussed and they don't want support in their programs or client delivery.

We have reviewed over 150 applications for VA roles in the last 12 months and I am incredibly proud of the process that we have in place for recruiting and hiring.

It is incredibly easy to assign blame to a team member.

But something I often to talk to business owners about, when they have had a negative team relationship in the past is about having a critical look at their place, as the business owner and leader in the relationship.

Understandably it is much easier to critically look at other peoples performance, outcomes and their part in the relationship than it is to dive into where we as the leader may have missed the mark on setting our team up for success.
