Eight One Sixty

We dive deeper into the lineup for the 7th annual Boulevardia 2022! This year the fest will feature 70 acts playing on four stages, along with a silent disco all taking place on Grand Blvd around Crown Center. The massive lineup was revealed last Wednesday and on the show today we’ll dig a little deeper, talk about, and play music from some acts on the fest.

Hear music from Saxsquatch, Lauren Sanderson, Kadesh Flow and Jessica Paige (aka Deshica Rage), The Pharcyde, Giovannie & The Hired Guns, Dayglow, and Daisy the Great. Also hear brand new music from Hembree, Paris Williams, Rockababy Rock (aka David Lee), and out of St. Louis, Seashine.

We kick off the show with a couple celebratory anthems for the Chiefs and then work our way into new releases and recent submissions from great KC musicians!

I’m sure your week will be filled with stories about Sunday night’s amazing victory, so I thought we would take a minute and play a couple songs to celebrate that unbelievable win. After that we jump into new and recent releases from several KC area acts, including Ezmerelda (featuring Kianna White and Cale Parks), Shawn M. Stewart, Galactique Acid, Lonnie Fisher, Cumulostratus, Far Down (we read about them on Shuttlecock Music Magazine’s blog), Hembree, The Creepy Jingles, Kadesh Flow and we hear from Trevor Turla’s forthcoming album.

We dive into new releases from a dozen KC acts on this show. Some of the songs came out in late 2021 and some of the songs come out this Friday. Last year KC musicians put out so much great music, 2022 is off to a good start.

It's a massive Save The Date episode for Boulevardia 2022. Boulevardia will return on June 17 and 18, 2022 and take place at Crown Center in downtown Kansas City. On the show this week we look back and hear music from bands that have played the fest in the first six years AND we look forward to the upcoming fest in Summer 2022.

Since Boulevardia began in 2014 over 225 acts have played the fest. On this week’s show, we look back and play music from 10 of them and I share some stories about those bands and others too - a bit of a look behind the scenes of the event. It should be a fun look back and look forward at one of KC’s iconic fests!

Without the amazing support of so many, we could never have programming like 90.9 The Bridge and we celebrate that by playing a lot of new music submissions to the station.
