We get a sneak peek of PART of the list and hear music from Chris Hazelton's Boogaloo 7, Suicide Robins, Christopher Tolle, Lovergurl, Calvin Arsenia, Ruth Acuff, Erik Voeks and Heidi Lynne Gluck. We also ask him about his favorite shows of the year and other year-end things.

We’ll also hear music from Kishi Bashi, he played Middle of the Map Fest 2014 and he’s recently scored a great new film for Red Bull that you can see for FREE on Tuesday, November 29 at Alamo Drafthouse Kansas City.

On this show we debut the brand new single from Hembree, catch them on Thursday night at recordBar. Also, we will have live music in our studio from Nick Carswell, Katlyn Conroy and Anna Cook, they're part of "And So It Is - A Tribute to Damien Rice" this Friday at Drexel Hall Kansas City, a.k.a the new Irish Center of Kansas City. Then we’re joined by The Grisly Hand and preview four tracks from their brand new album, "Hearts & Stars", out this Friday, they will be celebrating with a big release show at Knuckleheads Saloon that night. We will also hear music from David Burchfield Music who is back in KC for a gig this Saturday at The Brick along with Timbers.

 

On this show we are so happy to have the kilted one, Todd Zimmer on the Eight One Sixty! He’s brought music from some of his favorite KC acts: Radkey, Roman Numerals, The Big Iron, (the)medicine theory, Monitor, The Widow's Ride, The Silver Maggies, Sons Of Great Dane, Chase Horseman, and a brand new song by Abandoned Bells that was finished yesterday. We’ll talk about music, hot sauce, Todd’s love of Tyson Schroeder's bands and kilts.

This week, it's all about Apocalypse Meow, the annual two-day fundraiser for Midwest Music Foundation, coming up this weekend at Mills Record Company on Friday and recordBar on Saturday. We hear music from four of the artists playing the event, and new releases from NINE acts: Nicholas St. James, Jake Wells, Hipshot Killer, Berwanger, Shadow Rabbits, Lauren Anderson, Erica Joy, Valley Hush and Mr. Little Jeans.

It’s our Halloween show so we thought we’d have some fun and dig into the vault (aka external hard drive) and play some older tunes from past/older KC bands. Music from Flee the Seen, Roman Numerals, It’s Over, American Catastrophe, The Get Up Kids, In the Pines, the Stella Link, The Casket Lottery, The Appleseed Cast and Maps For Travelers. Also, we’ll have special guest, RL Brooks in to hang out.
