Why is it that as moms we feel like everything is our responsibility, like the weight of the world is on our shoulders? Why is it so hard for us to ask for help when we feel overwhelmed?
There seems to be this stigma that moms need to do everything. And if we don't, or we ask for help, then we are weak. We are less of a mom. And if we try to take even just a small moment for ourselves, then we don't love our kids as much as we should. That simply isn't true. In fact, in order for us to be the best mom that we can be, it's imperative that we find the time do things that bring us joy.
In today's episode, I speak with Melissa Clampitt, a mom and host of The Reawakened Mom Podcast. She is passionate about supporting women and believes that as moms, we need to take the journey home to ourselves and start loving ourselves body, mind and spirit.
Melissa will share with us how she has found joy in her motherhood journey by not being afraid to ask for help and by being intentional with the time she spends with her family. She will also tell us how she deals with the guilt when it comes to comparing herself to other moms.
In this episode, we cover:
-How family dynamics changed when her stepson became a big brother
-Why you need to ask for help so you can start making time for yourself
-How Melissa handles comparing herself to other moms
-Looking at her life through a joyful lens and inviting more joy into your home life
-Lessons on motherhood she learned the hard way

Sterling shares her process for incorporating breath work into her photography sessions, her own journey to healing herself and combining her passions to create a living and the importance of taking time for yourself.

Have you ever stopped to think about how powerful your thoughts really are? Your thoughts can change the way you interpret many aspects of your life. They can make you feel differently about a situation that's out of your control. They also help you accept your feelings and emotions without judgment. Inviting in new, more positive thoughts is what our next guest is all about.
Today, I speak with Marcie Hirschi, a dream coach and co-host of the YOUnicorn Lens podcast. While Marcie encourages us to dream big, she also teaches us how to use the power of our thoughts to better enjoy our current life without any wholesale, external changes.
During our conversation, Marcie dives into what she calls the "dream download" and the power of a thought. She shows us how to take control of creating our dream lives by releasing old stories, oftentimes absorbed as early as childhood, of what our lives should look like. Marcie will remind you that the only person you're in control of is yourself and share a powerful tool for navigating conflict.
In this episode, we will cover:
-Looking at life with a unicorn lens and what that means
-Where you can begin to think about your dream life
-What you can do when you are stuck in the "I should" cycle
-Accepting your emotions
-Reminding yourself that you can only control yourself
-Moving towards responding rather than reacting
