Do you know what you think you know? Do you understand all you know about it? Curiosity is a great driver for knowledge and understanding. Asking great questions is a key to growing personally and professionally. Never be bashful to ask.
My father would often ask - Do you understand all you know about it?
The goal of fishing is to trick the fish so you can decide if you want to keep them, mount them, or have mercy and return their weak and maybe tattered body back to the water. In fishing, the fish has to lose for you to win AND the more fight the fish gives, the more fun the experience for the fishermen. We are not fishing, we are humbly serving.
Salmon fighting to swim upstream to find us to find their home.
Bad Day... I can't believe this is happening to me. Today is just not my day. Be careful about calling the game early. Remember when Tom Brady made the announcement in the 3rd quarter of Superbowl when he went on to beat the Falcons in overtime? Me neither.
Be careful in forming conclusions about yourself - Is the world against you? Are there people secretly pinning a bullseye to you and rejoicing when you are able to capture a flying arrow?
Any given tournament, any given golfer may start the day in first place, having the round of his life. And the top golfers may have one of the most average starts. Both go back to their hotel room sit down on the bed and think … I don't belong here. And so it goes, by the end of the tournament, the bottom 20% normally, find their way there and the top 10% find their way to the top. Where do you belong?
What is your target of financial compensation Expectation $50k - 250k - $1m - $10m …?? You will always find a way to get back to your 'status quo'. Connected to 'what you think you are worth' Think it is fair for you to be compensated.
"By hook or by crook" is an English https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_language> phrase meaning "by any means necessary", suggesting that any means possible should be taken to accomplish a goal. The origin of the phrase is obscure, a commonly repeated suggestion is that it comes from Hook Head https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hook_Head> in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wexford, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ireland and the nearby village of Crooke, in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waterford, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ireland. Another is that it comes from the customs regulating which firewood local people could take https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Estovers> from common land https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_land>; they were allowed to take any branches that they could reach with a billhook https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billhook> or a shepherd's crook https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shepherd%27s_crook> (used to hook sheep)
My mother had a method of influence by simply reminding, 'The decisions you make today Can and Will affect you for the rest of your life'.

The myth of sales - "You are a great talker, You should be in sales!" This may be the furthest from the truth. Talking a lot is the fastest way to lose your audience and go unnoticed. Today, the leaders in sales have a massive set of these.
