With election day quickly approaching, these are salad days for Elk Grove Mayor Bobbie Singh-Allen. She's likely to win her third term and is gaining statewide exposure.

As of today, October 5, 2024, things are relatively calm in America. Notwithstanding the tragedy of Hurricane Helene, the October 4th jobs reports was strong and inflation is decreasing.
But things will be changing.

Elk Grove Mayor Bobbie Singh Allen and her city councilmen will consider raising their salaries. The push for more money, is led by Councilman Darren Suen,  and it has most of the city council slobbering like dogs at the prospect of increasing their pay.

During my youth, I smoked cigarettes for about six years. Fortunately, I quit, but to this day, I believe it has affected my health.

On Thursday, September 12, 2024, the city of Elk Grove held a community workshop on the planned year-round homeless shelter.

That facility is scheduled to open on November 1, and operate for the next four years.

The facility is located on East Stockton Boulevard just south of Elk Grove Boulevard at the site of the Calvary Christian Center.

When the city announced the plans for the facility earlier this month, they were met with resistance.
