Emma is from Manchester and is hard of hearing. Lip-reading is important for her to communicate, and so mask-wearing during the pandemic has made the world much less accessible to her. This year has made her acknowledge the challenges deaf people face every day, and she wants to raise awareness. Yungblud and Emma discuss communication, and how her deafness has given her some incredible experiences.
