Have you forgotten how merciful God has been?

Today’s devotion from Psalm 103:1–22 reminds us to bless the Lord and forget not all His benefits. David speaks to his own soul and calls his heart back to worship by remembering the mercy, forgiveness, healing, redemption, compassion, and everlasting love of God.

This message is for every weary believer who has remembered their burdens more than God’s blessings, their failures more than His forgiveness, and their unanswered prayers more than His daily mercies. Psalm 103 reminds us that God forgives all our iniquities, redeems our lives from destruction, crowns us with lovingkindness, and removes our sins as far as the east is from the west.

The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in mercy. He knows our frame. He remembers that we are dust. He deals with His children not according to what we deserve, but according to His unfailing compassion.

Most of all, Psalm 103 points us to Jesus Christ. Through Him, our sins are forgiven, our lives are redeemed, our relationship with the Father is restored, and our hope is secure forever. Every blessing David celebrates finds its fullest meaning in Christ.

Have you forgotten how faithful God has been?

Today’s devotion from Deuteronomy 29:1–29 reminds us to look back and remember the faithfulness of God. Before Israel entered the Promised Land, Moses called the people to remember what the Lord had already done — the deliverance from Egypt, the signs and wonders, forty years of wilderness provision, clothes that did not wear out, sandals that did not wear out, and victories over stronger enemies.

This message reminds us that gratitude protects the heart from drifting. We often become anxious about tomorrow because we forget how faithfully God carried us yesterday. Every answered prayer, every unseen protection, every daily mercy, and every season of strength is a testimony that God has never failed.

Deuteronomy 29 also reminds us that some things belong only to the Lord. We may not understand every mystery, every delay, or every difficult chapter of life, but we can trust the God whose character has already been proven faithful.

This chapter points us to Jesus Christ, the greatest revelation of God’s faithfulness. Through His death and resurrection, our sins are forgiven, our relationship with the Father is restored, and every promise of God finds its “Yes” and “Amen” in Him.

What is the greatest tragedy in life?

It is not losing wealth, health, success, or earthly comfort. The greatest tragedy is turning away from the God who alone gives life.

In today’s devotional, we reflect on Deuteronomy 28:15–68, one of the most serious and sobering passages in Scripture. These verses reveal the consequences of disobedience, but they also show us the loving heart of God. His warnings are not given to destroy us, but to call us back before our hearts become hardened.

This devotional reminds us that spiritual decline often begins slowly. Prayer becomes less frequent. God’s Word becomes neglected. Worship becomes routine. The heart grows cold little by little. But even when we drift, the Father’s invitation remains: “Return to Me.”

Through Jesus Christ, we are redeemed from the curse of the law. At the cross, Christ bore the judgment we deserved so that we could receive forgiveness, reconciliation, and eternal life.

What if God’s presence is the blessing you’re missing?

Today’s devotion from Deuteronomy 28:1–14 reminds us that the greatest blessing is not prosperity, success, provision, protection, or victory — the greatest blessing is God Himself.

As Moses spoke to Israel about the blessings of obedience, he repeatedly pointed them back to the Lord. The Lord would bless them, establish them, protect them, provide for them, and open His good treasure over them. Yet the greatest privilege was not simply what God would give them, but that they were called by His Name and belonged to Him.

This message reminds us that blessings are never greater than the Blesser. Like Moses, we must learn to desire God’s presence above every earthly gift. A land flowing with milk and honey would mean nothing without the Lord walking with His people.

Through Jesus Christ, we have received the greatest blessing of all: forgiveness, adoption into God’s family, the presence of the Holy Spirit, and eternal life with the Father. If we have Christ, we have the greatest treasure heaven can give.

Why does God warn us before we fall?

Today’s devotion from Deuteronomy 27:1–26 reminds us that God’s warnings are not signs of rejection, but expressions of His holy love. As Israel prepared to enter the Promised Land, God commanded them to write His Law plainly on large stones, build an altar, worship before Him, and hear the solemn warnings spoken across the mountains.

At first, these warnings may seem severe, but behind them is the loving voice of a holy Father. God was warning His people because He knew the hidden sins, secret compromises, injustice, idolatry, and disobedience that could destroy them from within.

This message reminds us that God loves us too much to remain silent when we drift. His correction is not meant to push us away, but to call us back into the safety of His presence.

Deuteronomy 27 also points us to Jesus Christ. The altar on Mount Ebal points forward to Calvary, where Jesus bore the curse our sins deserved so that we could receive forgiveness, righteousness, and life with God.

Have you forgotten how far God has brought you?

Today’s devotion from Deuteronomy 26:1–19 reminds us that worship is restored when grace is remembered. As Israel entered the Promised Land, God commanded them to bring the firstfruits of their harvest and remember their story: they were once afflicted, oppressed, and helpless in Egypt, but the Lord heard their cry, delivered them with a mighty hand, and brought them into a land flowing with milk and honey.

This message speaks to every believer today. We can easily remember our burdens, unanswered prayers, disappointments, and worries, but forget the countless times God has carried us, provided for us, forgiven us, and opened doors we could not open ourselves.

Deuteronomy 26 teaches us that gratitude grows when we remember grace. Giving God the first and best is not empty religion — it is worship from a heart that knows every blessing came from Him.

This chapter also points us to Jesus Christ. We were unable to rescue ourselves from sin, but God sent His Son to save us. Through His death and resurrection, we have forgiveness, adoption, eternal hope, and every reason to worship with thankful hearts.

Does God see those everyone else overlooks?

Today’s devotion from Deuteronomy 25:1–19 reveals the compassionate heart of God for the vulnerable, the weary, the mistreated, and those who cannot defend themselves.

At first, this chapter may seem like a collection of unrelated laws about courtrooms, farming, family responsibility, honest business, and remembering Amalek. But beneath every command is one beautiful truth: God cares deeply about justice, dignity, compassion, and righteousness in everyday life.

Deuteronomy 25 reminds us that justice must never become cruelty, faithful labor should not be ignored, widows and families must be cared for, business must be honest, and the weak must never be exploited. God sees what others miss, remembers what others forget, and defends those whom the world often overlooks.

This message also points us to Jesus Christ, our true Redeemer. We were helpless in sin, unable to rescue ourselves, but Christ did not turn away. He took our place, bore our guilt, redeemed us through the cross, and gave us an eternal inheritance.

Does God hear you when you’re broken?

Today’s devotion from Psalm 102:1–28 is a prayer for the afflicted, the overwhelmed, the weary, and those who feel like they have no strength left. The psalmist pours out his pain before the Lord with honesty, describing loneliness, weakness, sorrow, sleepless nights, and a heart that feels withered like grass.

But in the middle of suffering, the psalm turns toward hope: “But You, O Lord, shall endure forever.” Circumstances change, strength fades, people disappoint, and seasons shift, but God remains the same. His mercy does not expire, His love does not weaken, and His faithfulness never comes to an end.

This message reminds us that God does not despise the prayer of the afflicted. He hears the groaning of the prisoner, sees every tear, and sustains His people through every valley. Psalm 102 ultimately points us to Jesus Christ, the unchanging Savior who entered our suffering, carried our sorrows, died for our sins, and rose again in victory.

Does your kindness show people the heart of God?

Today’s devotion from Deuteronomy 24:1–22 reminds us that faith is not only seen in worship services, prayer, or Bible reading. It is also seen in the ordinary moments of everyday life — in how we treat our spouse, our neighbor, our workers, the poor, the stranger, the widow, the orphan, and those who cannot repay us.

This chapter reveals the compassionate heart of God. He cares about families, fair wages, honest lending, justice for the vulnerable, and generosity toward those in need. Israel was repeatedly told to remember that they had once been slaves in Egypt and that the Lord had redeemed them. Their compassion toward others was to flow from the mercy God had first shown them.

This message points us to Jesus Christ, who perfectly revealed the compassion of God. He welcomed the rejected, defended the weak, cared for the poor, touched the broken, and gave His life on the cross so sinners could receive forgiveness, new life, and eternal hope.
