On the show this week we have Sharon Kwon, a social worker, therapist, and healer based in California. Sharon works in private practice with the Asian immigrant community, and also works with the issue of narcissistic family systems. She serves people who grew up in families that immigrated to the US from Asian countries, and how to navigate the generational transition from a collectivist culture to an individualist culture. She explains how she uses a family systems approach in this work, and what that looks like in her practice.
Sharon discusses her own personal story of narcissistic abuse recovery, and how a life altering experience led her to social work. She gives great insights into what kinds of traumas can occur when you grow up in a narcissistic family, and how this led her to find her own definition of spirituality.
We also touch upon what kinds of groups can be really helpful in recovery, such as Codependent’s Anonymous, and the benefits of the 12 step system.

We are continuing our December theme of narcissistic abuse recovery here on the show, and this week I interviewed Ronia Fraser, also known as The Rock and Roll Coach Roni.
Roni is a hypnotherapist and NLP practitioner based in London, and she helps women put their lives back together after narcissistic abuse. Roni shares her incredible personal account of a relationship with a narcissist during the interview.
Together we discuss:
The common mental health symptoms after narcissistic abuse.
Why the breakup is so different from other relationships you have had.
Why it’s so difficult to move on.
Why traditional talk therapy doesn’t help victims and what to look for in a therapist or coach for this issue.
Why just learning about narcissistic abuse won’t get you all the way in your healing process, or relieve your trauma symptoms.
Why you might still attract narcissists after the relationship.
Why healing is easier than you think.
How codependency factors in, and why sex is a powerful tool to create dependency in a narcissist’s victims.
I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I did!

This week on the show we have the founder of narcissistabusesupport.com, and narcissistic abuse recovery coach, Tracy Malone. You may recognise here from her successful Youtube and from her hugely popular website, and so we were so stoked to have her on!
Tracy leads groups of women through their divorce process with narcissistic abusers, because divorcing a narcissist is just… different.
Some of the topics we discussed were:
Do narcissists target empaths in particular?
What is the key difference between an empath and a codependent?
How having empathy and being empath are not the same.
Why divorcing a narcissist is so different and what Tracy offers in her coaching to help people with this.
Tracy’s own experience with narcissistic abuse.
Why so many people end up with false accusations of domestic abuse and arrests by their narcissist.
Why forgiveness in these relationships is different.
Advice for going to court with the narcissist.
How to recognise and manage flying monkeys.
Why traditional therapy can fall short for folks in this particular situation.
Why narcissists so often show up in spiritual communities.
Additionally, Tracy talks about her upcoming book about divorcing narcissists and handling a narcissist in court!

This week I had the opportunity to chat with Elizabeth Clair de Lune. Elizabeth is a love and relationship coach and educator, helping women after toxic relationships.
In the episode you will find the 3 steps to recovery:
The waking up/realisation phase, how to come back to your truth and power in the body as well as the mind, and how you can declare your power and state your needs in order to create the life you really want.
We go over why a somatic approach to this work is so effective, and talk about what is actually happening on the body level if you are codependent. We discuss the inner critic in codependency recovery, and how to cope with toxic messaging from the narcissist and their followers.
We go over why it’s so important to have space for both the wounded parts and the empowered parts of ourselves while healing, and the main differences between empaths and codependents.
And finally, what does it take to get to the point at which you become immune to narcissistic abuse by rediscovering your worthiness, understanding that it’s not manipulative to state your needs and get your boundaries met.

The challenges of working with deep trauma.

Colleen’s own spiritual journey and what it was like to break apart from her traditional Catholic mindset.
Using Intuition as a clinician to identify a spiritual awakening vs. symptoms of mental illness.
How empaths can end up magnetising toxic relationships and what to do about it.
Why it’s easy for empaths and helpers to fall into codependency.
How these relationship patterns are passed from one generation to the next.

This week I’m delighted to have Molly the Medium on the show. Molly is an intuitive medium who offers worldwide coaching and counseling to help her clients develop their own intuitive abilities and to find their spiritual path. Molly is a firm believer that empathy is actually a gateway to intuition.
We talk about the particular challenges highly empathic kids face in a traditional education and family setting, and how that can eventually lead to mental health issues if young people are not properly resourced. She talks about her own personal story and about how that effected her journey into young adulthood. We explore what it means to grow up in Catholicism, and to be wounded by fear and shame based religious upbringings. Molly speaks about how she realised she needed to dissect her early programming and discover her authentic truth. She explains what this can look like in terms of anxiety, panic attacks, and depression, and how it is vital to find a therapist or coach that can help.
She explains that through managing her own boundaries, and by working with her inner child, she was able to bloom as an empath- while also stepping more fully into her LGBTQ identity. She sheds light about how she was able to come to a new and deeper understanding of Jesus, and overcome some of the spiritual trauma she experienced in her childhood.
There’s so much good stuff in here from self actualisation, to toxic relationship, to working with codependency- you won’t want to miss it.

This week I am delighted to have a Sexuality, Embodiment, and Trauma Healing Coach named Elizabeth Grace. With a practice based in New Zealand, Elizabeth teaches her clients to reconnect with the fullness of their sexuality, and to have more joy, passion, and fun in life.
She shares her own story of relationship, transcending patterns, understanding attachment styles, and coming into greater self expression. On this journey, she realised that she was living in a disconnected state from her body, and was in unfulfilling relationships because she hadn’t yet started to operate from her truest sense of self, which led to burnout.
She asks all of her clients, how is it that you want to live? And integrates the idea of the hero’s journey with our own personal life journey.
We discuss what to do if you feel you don’t have the education or tools to understand what you need from life and relationship, and the importance of honouring and listening to what our body is telling us.
And in the later part of the episode we go into what it’s like to question if you are actually a narcissist, and how to understand the spectrum of the disorder and how that contrasts with healthy integrated narcissism present in everyone.

This week I am delighted to have Katie Zeman on the show! Katie is an astrologer and beekeeper based in Arizona.
In the episode Katie shares what brought her to this work, how she uses her intuition and empathy to guide sessions, and the power of Chiron (the wounded healer archetype) in her readings.
We touch on the astrological alchemy Katie likes to create in her sessions to make them more therapeutic, and bring clients to a greater understanding of self.
We dive into what it means to cultivate these insights, and we discuss why it’s important to integrate the shadow into this process. We also uncover how much shadow work actually acts as the connection between heaven and earth- that when we work with the darkness and the richness of what is there for us, it is very helpful to turn towards nature to guide us. She also educates in her practice and on her social media about the importance of understanding the ever changing cycles of the moon.
Through the power of these awarenesses, Katie uses astrology to tap into her clients’ higher purpose to determine their most essential work to be done in this lifetime. She explains that if we come to an understanding of our greatest gifts and integrate our wounded parts, we can lead healthier, happier, more connected lives- and that we have the power to heal the challenging places so that they are not unconsciously mirrored back to us in relationships.

In this episode I am joined by my dear friend Ammanuel, a men’s spiritual awakening coach, and we discuss the journey of empathic men.
We cover what self care looks like for empathic/sensitive guys, the challenges of empathic men within conventional masculinity, and the scarcity of integrated masculine role models.
Considering the mainstream cultural standards for masculinity, what would it look like for more guys to open up into a fuller discourse and acknowledgment of these traits? Ammanuel talks about how guys can support each other in this work.
We also talk about Ammanuel’s own spiritual awakening, and explore what emerging spiritual awareness looks like and how that contrasts with mental illness.
