I’m currently on vacation from the podcast but just couldn’t help myself from recording this episode on working through burnout. My own journey to my career as a coach began with burnout and I truly believe it’s an invitation for you to create work that you love. Although, it feels terrible when you’re in the midst of it, what you learn as you overcome burnout has the capacity to take you closer to your most powerful, joyful self.
To help you see a path through burnout, I share three big picture steps with you. Just seeing what these steps are can help you feel more at peace with where you’re at. You can explore each step on your own or pull in resources and support to help make the process faster and easier.

Here are the resources that I currently offer that can support you:
Hi friends! - here's a bonus between-seasons meditation to help you stop feeling overwhelm.
Feeling overwhelm makes it hard to think and get things done. Often, folx will try to solve overwhelm by figuring out a solution or knocking items off the to do list but all of the thinking and getting things done often reinforce the existing overwhelm…
To reduce overwhelm, you need to pause and give your nervous system a moment to feel safe. This will turn your stress response down, and clear up your thinking so that you can truly figure out a solution and make decisions about the most effective actions to take.
In today’s Thursday Meditation, we’ll start with a breath, meditation and visualization practice to reduce overwhelm.
Afterwards, I share additional tips to help you support yourself to create less overwhelm so that you can feel more clear, confident and grounded in your day.

Hi friend, this short episode wraps up Season 1. I’m taking time off to enjoy travels and be present with all the summer activities, as well as reflecting on the direction I want to take this podcast.
Today, I talk about the pressure of being being consistent and deciding to stay present with cycles of the seasons. I also share what I’ve learned about showing up to record episodes every week and what the process has looked like to find my authentic way of doing things.
I would love your questions and ideas for future episodes! You can send me a message in any of these places:

Embodiment happens when the change you seek has become so much a part of you that you do it effortlessly, like brushing your teeth. Getting there, however, can feel hard.
Whether you want to run your first 5k, feel more confident at work or start living your life purpose, at some point you’re going to feel frustrated and doubtful that you can ever make it happen.
When you know the steps to truly embodying the change you seek, though, it’s easier to know what to do to keep going… and have peace with the more challenging aspects of the process.
In this episode, I discuss the 4 Stages of Embodiment. You’ll learn:
This is also my last episode of the season (kinda)!

In this episode, we’ll explore the power of mindset and how to transform your thoughts, feelings, and actions to align with the life you truly desire. You’ll learn one of the most powerful mindset tools that I have come across called the self-coaching model, so that you can use it in your own life to help you feel less anxiety, less overwhelm, less dread… and more of whatever lights you up.
It’s common for introverts to have limiting beliefs like “I’m not enough”, “I’m not seen” or “there’s something wrong with me”. When you know how to self-coach your thinking, you can transform thoughts that hold you back and create positive change. During this episode, I invite you to explore your own limiting beliefs and guide you through using the self-coaching model to gain clarity on what you can do to feel better and how to take action in an empowered way.
If you're ready to break free from limiting beliefs so you can be your unapologetic, unconventional self, I have a special summer coaching package available only this month called Summer Integration Sessions. Visit my website at heidijandel.com/summer to sign up.

I used to cry after vacations. I’d be sitting in the airport bathroom, in a stupor, dreading going back to work and life as usual. Not that my life or work were bad, I was just so burned out and felt trapped without knowing what to do differently.
If you can relate to this, today’s episode is for you. I break down the reasons why changing your job is almost never the solution and get to the heart of what’s really creating most of the stress and anxiety that makes work unbearable.
When you can see what the root of your dread is, then you’re able to make gentle changes that not only make work better, but also reduce anxiety and stress in all areas of your life.
This episode discusses both mindset and nervous system and how the relationship between them can create loops of dread and stress that lead to burnout.
I also discuss two steps to stopping dread at work that help you to see what’s going on in the big picture. These will help you to see your experience in a different way and to find the solutions that will help you feel better.

Summer brings the energy of activity and transformation into our lives. It's a season where we prioritize fun, changing up our schedule and getting the most out of the summer sun.
You can direct this beautiful energy towards your own growth and transformation, making summer the perfect time to cultivate a goal or do deeper life transforming work.
In this episode, I explain the Ayurvedic understanding of summer and how it influences your capacity to create transformation. You’ll learn how to recognize unbalanced, fear based approaches to summer activities that can lead to common patterns of burnout and feeling distant from your authentic self.
I’ll also walk you through a process to create grounded goals so that you can use the transformative energy of summer to create more of what you want and be more of who you truly are.

The way that you relate to your anxiety can have a big effect on the intensity of your experience of it. It’s so common to want negative feelings to just go away, but when you reject your emotions, it can inadvertently intensify your experience of those same emotions.
And yet, anxiety has a reason behind it. It has a purpose - and it often has a message.
In this episode, I share ideas to help you cultivate a more accepting relationship with anxiety and tune into deeper meaning behind it so that you can move through your experience of it with greater peace and love.

Feeling whole in your work isn’t often talked about as being important. But when you find yourself feeling unsatisfied, it can be an invitation to create a way of working that feels deeply satisfying. Today’s episode will inspire you to go on your own journey of creating wholeness in work and will provide you with concepts and self-coaching questions to help you along the way.
I begin by sharing my own story of finding part time work in order to bring more balance to my body, sense of belonging and finances. After working for myself exclusively for 20+ years, this is an important (and highly unconventional) step of feeling more whole through my own work.
The remainder of the episode focuses on providing you with mindset and coaching tools to help you on your own journey to feel whole in your work.
