In this episode, Melissa and Erin aim to empower you to advocate for yourself in the healthcare setting.
We aim to arm you with the confidence to ask questions when being offered treatments or procedures through a simple acronym that you can remember any time. We also share some personal stories that outline different scenarios where we have advocated for ourselves or wished we knew when we could have asked more questions.
You know your body better than anyone and you can only decide based on the information you are given. So the more confident you are to ask the questions, the information you will receive and the more equipped you will be to make an informed decision.

Here we are again mums, it's school holiday time!
As mums of two children each, we are feeling the stress, struggles and juggles of the school holiday period. Erin has two school aged kids both of which have their own needs when it comes to how the holiday period needs to be structured, including rest. Melissa has 1 school aged and 1 in long day care but when you bring one to a school holiday camp, it comes with the added pressure of bringing along the 4 year old.
We will warn you that this episode contains real life mum problems as the older children leave mum alone while the 4 year old at home added noises and challenges along the way.
While we do have a rant about the systems women work within, there are also helpful strategies of how you can look after your mental and physical health through this challenging time. And we hope you can find comfort in our chaos as you listen to this episode.

In this episode, we tie together the themes of our last two episodes on motherhood and grief to look at our changing bodies whether due to age, pregnancy, breastfeeding and life. We ask the question, if we are not "bouncing back", how do we move forward? We want to help you find a way to acknowledge what has changed and how you can let go of society's expectations around your body and move towards more acceptance of the new version of you at each life stage.
