Advocates for patients as well as nurses and the interprofessional team.

Success is a mindset. Many successful individuals have passed on to those following them to be encouraged, because on their journey to becoming successful they also had failures. These individuals persevered and were consistent with their goals in mind. Just remember the proverb " Rome was never built in a day".

Elrona Smith, RN gives her experiences and transitions in her nursing career. She discusses her different roles in different areas of nursing which have been impactful for the healthcare community.

Nurse Sandy shares her experience as a new nurse. She was blessed to have been placed in a residency program that allowed her to enhance her confidence in a shorter time. She encourages new nurses to go into the workplace with an open mind to learn.

Nurse Nadia Levene-Henry, RN was interviewed by Dr. Miriam Amanda Smith, DNP. She shared her experience as a travel nurse in different states and countries. She emphasized that fact nurses should get some clinical experience before going into travel nursing since it is expected to perform at a high level with experience. Covid-19 , as experienced by many nurses and other healthcare providers was also addressed in her discourse.

Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion are elements that need to be embraced as care of the sick is planned for on a daily basis. Patients and care givers are from different background, cultures, and orientations and should be greatly considered to ensure that patient receive their individualized care. Each patient deserves the best, high-quality care every time and at all times. Diversity of staff should also be considered that patients will also see someone who looks like them in the mix. There should be representatives in all strata of the healthcare industry. Diversity should be celebrated because this is what life offers.
