How many times have you gotten your morning going later than you should've, then been late, then had to speed to get to where you were going, then got a speeding ticket on the way there? ... I know I'm not the only one lol.
In this episode, I go in on the unforced – SELF-INFLICTED – errors in your life that are causing you stress, money, problems and mental peace. Check it out and Tweet me with your thoughts @Juanvlopez
Shared some personal branding strategies with a journalism class at the University of Nevada, Reno in September 2017 – we discussed how to identify your brand and then how to build it confidently. Dope talk.
Here are the strategies I shared:
1) 15:15 –> Make it easy to find you
2️) 18:09 –> Be authentic
3️) 19:54 -> Realize everything you do is being tracked
4️) 27:40 -> Play to what makes you unique
5️) 32:20 -> Don't be so buttoned up
6️) 35:00 -> Find someone to model
7️) 38:45 -> Be consistent & persistent
8️) 41:05 -> Talk about what you wanna be known for
9️) 44:55 -> Fill the gaps
10 47:30 -> Know that how you present the info is as important as the info itself

Josh Gordon, a former wide receiver in the NFL who last played for the Cleveland Browns, was featured in a fascinating documentary this week. All prayers to him and hoping that he continues his path to become a better man.
The lesson I want you to take from this and apply to your life is: YOU MIGHT NOT GET A SECOND SHOT at the opportunity you have in hand right now.
Spoke with the Wooster High School girls soccer team in Reno, Nevada in September 2017 – grateful for the opportunity to light a fire under them! I'm a massive proponent of women's empowerment and raising strong young women – honored to speak candidly with them.
Share this with your athletes!

I just left Content & Commerce 2017, an ecommerce, advertising & content event ran by Digital Marketer for business owners and marketers. Here are 3 of my top takeaways
2:20 –> 1) Reduce the friction between people who are interested in your stuff and them actually becoming a buyer.
10:05 –> 2) Don’t be afraid to make people choose with your branding. Be bold.
14:50 –> 3) Don’t focus on selling and marketing your product – FOCUS on the benefits your product or service provides.
This episode is about intent. Purpose. What are you intentionally doing in your life to get you to the place you want to be?
Too many people out there "manifesting," and "speaking it into the universe," and "dreaming" – that's great, but what are you tangibly doing to purposefully be who you are being called to be?
Every book you read, every video you watch, every presentation you see, every podcast you hear ... totally WORTHLESS.
You ever picked your head up from the work you're doing and realize, "Man, I'm really going through some big changes right now"? I had one of these moments recently as I'm in the middle of buying a home, transitioning from a big client and taking my brand to a new level.
It dawned on me that it's so easy to stay in a comfort zone sometimes not because we're afraid of growth, but because we're killing it in that area. We're dominating that zone. The hunger fades after you master a certain level.
But you gotta keep it pushing. You have to challenge yourself for more and get off that warm, comfortable couch.
I've had the pleasure of meeting a lot of amazing people in my life. Jake is one of the most fascinating people I know. At the time we recorded this, he was 24, had jumped from a plane 51 times, had backpacked across the world, been student body president at his University and tonnnnnnns more.
In a world where tons of people talk about "living life to the fullest" – Jake actually does it.
You're gonna love this one - great diving into his mindset on life.
Guys – some of y’all give up too easily. Straight up. Some of y’all hear “well, this is just how it is” and we accept that that’s JUST how it is.
In this podcast, I tell you the story about a recent (FAT) ticket I got that I contested and won, but the meat of the story is that too many of us accept things as "this is just the way it is."
Are you giving up on things too easily? What areas in your life can you continue to press forward in?
