Alena’s the owner of BattleBorn Crossfit in Reno, Nevada – the first crossfit affiliate in northern Nevada and first woman-owned crossfit gym in all of Nevada.

She’s overcome a lot of odds: Having a drug addiction as a teen. Being a single mom of Evan Defer. Taking over BBCF in 2008 during the Great Recession.

The woman’s a fighter and one of the most genuine people you can meet.

According to a recent survey by the USA Today, "77% of Americans have taken a job that didn't align with their interests, ambitions, or long-term goals." I'd venture to say that a lot of those 77% don't like what they do.
