Can AI really replace a therapist or coach?
On the surface, it feels supportive. AI listens, flatters, and gives advice based on what you type in.
But that’s also the problem.
AI can only see what you tell it. It can’t dig deeper, challenge your blind spots, or hold you accountable the way a human coach or therapist can.
Using AI may feel comforting in the moment, but it won’t give you the transformation that comes from real human connection, lived experiences, and the hard questions that spark growth.
In this episode, I share why human guidance is irreplaceable and why relying on AI for mental health support can even be dangerous.

Are you stuck in a loop of negative thoughts even when life is going well?
In Part 2 of my series, I explore why your brain seems wired for negativity and how to reprogram it. From minor daily annoyances to spiraling worst-case scenarios, negativity can keep us anxious, reactive, and disconnected from joy.
But here’s the truth: you’re not broken, your brain is simply running an old survival program.
Listen in to learn how a simple ear-pull helped me and my wife Danielle snap out of negativity on our latest Camino trail hike, plus how you can anchor empowering thoughts into your nervous system for lasting change.
You CAN retrain your mind. It starts with awareness and a willingness to practice something new.

Even when life is going well, do you catch yourself scanning for what’s not perfect? That little voice that fixates on the one thing that went wrong the email you didn’t get, the offhand comment, the 10% of your day that wasn’t ideal? That’s not just a mood, it’s a habit. A deeply wired one.
In this episode, I explore why negativity is so persistent, even when we consciously want to feel better. From ancient survival instincts to emotional conditioning, I break down the root cause of our negative bias and why your brain might still be scanning the bushes for tigers even in the middle of a peaceful day.
Because happiness isn't just something you find it's something you practice. And breaking free from negativity starts by understanding it.

I had my fair share of anxiety habits – but admittedly, control was the one I ‘used’ the most.
Control is often our go-to way of creating the illusion of safety. Before we had cell phones, I asked Danielle to call me at least three times when she was on a 7-hour road trip, just to know that she was ok. I don’t know how she put up with me during that time.
The problem is that control is not only exhausting for oneself and others, but it also doesn’t lead to a lasting sense of safety and peace.
When we try to control every outcome, we disconnect from trust—trust in ourselves, in others, and life.
This episode explores how hypervigilance fuels anxiety, and how shifting into presence and surrender helps us to establish the real anxiety-antidote – trust.

What if your biggest anxiety trigger is your fear of anxiety itself?
That dread of the next wave can be more overwhelming than the emotion itself. In this final episode, we explore how to stop fearing anxiety and start listening to it. When you meet it with curiosity instead of panic, everything changes.
Shift: From fear to curiosity
Try This: When anxiety shows up, place a hand on your heart and say, “I see you. I’m here.”

After a painful breakup, a client of mine found herself stuck in anxiety, replaying memories, stalking social media pages, and unable to let go.
Sometimes, even when something hurts us, peace can feel unfamiliar, and anxiety becomes the pattern we know best.
The truth is: anxiety isn’t always just a feeling. It’s a habit.
In this week's episode, I explore how anxiety can get wired into our thoughts, behaviors, and beliefs, and why it’s not your fault if you’re still stuck in it.
Over the next few weeks, starting Tuesday, I’ll be sharing a 5-part video series called Breaking the Anxiety Habit, where I guide you through the most common patterns that keep anxiety alive and how we can finally break free.
