England have been singing the lament about football coming home for an age, but after the barren years of misery, it finally came through the door into the welcoming arms of an exultant Wembley as the Lionesses were crowned European champions. Today’s Nick Robinson presented from Trafalgar Square in Central London, where thousands cheered the Lionesses on during Sunday night’s match which saw England beat eight-time European champions Germany 2-1 after extra time. Nick spoke to the former England men's captain and Match of the Day host Gary Lineker, the former sports minister Tracey Crouch, and the head of the Football Association Mark Bullingham. He was also joined by the comedian David Baddiel, who along with Frank Skinner and Ian Brodie, wrote Three Lions which has become the definitive England anthem.
