  • How to Arrange Medical Transport if you Become Injured or While Traveling - Entrepreneur Podcast Network – EPN
People have to think ahead when traveling, but they don’t always plan for every scenario. For example, what happens if you or someone in your group gets injured? The World Health Association reports that injuries are the leading cause of preventable death for travelers.
Forward-thinking is the key to worry-free travel, especially if going abroad. It’s easy enough to map out a route to the nearest urgent care clinic or hospital. You can keep essential medical contact information on your phone, too, but what about getting back home? While developing your emergency medical travel strategy, consider the steps you’ll need to take to arrange medical air ambulance transportation home, too.
    Why Not Be Prepared?
Take some time to research medical air ambulance services and find out which ones work along the travel route. Many of these companies offer international medical evacuation but only to certain countries. You’ll save a lot of time if you add the right medical transport service numbers to your list of contacts prior to leaving on the trip.
What are You Going to Ask?
When contacting medical airplane transport companies, you’ll need to know:
If they offer critical care transport? Some companies may have limited options for medical care.
Are they an actual air ambulance service or a broker? You want an actual provider, not a broker.
What type of aircraft do they use? You’ll want fixed wing for most long-distance travel.
What are their accreditations and other credentials?
What types of health insurance do they take?
Do they employ their own medical and flight crew members and what are their credentials?
Find out about their patient care service history, too. Have they had any accidents? Ask how long it would take them to respond in an emergency and if there are any upfront transport costs. They should have a good idea of what the health insurance company will pay and may ask for the difference upfront. Take more than one number with you, so if your first choice can’t help, you have a second vetted option available.
Who are You Going to Call?
If you do get injured, you’ll need to know who to contact for help. Your top priority is to get medical assistance at your location. In most cases, you can alert fellow travelers or service personnel. For instance, if you are on a cruise, tell the staff. If you are in a tourist area, look for a call box or local law enforcement. The emergency care team can help find an air ambulance transport if necessary. If aboard, ask someone to contact the U.S. Embassy to help arrange transport home, as well. Prior to agreeing to a service, ask the questions from the list like do they offer critical care transport and what insurance do they accept. This will ensure you get the safest and most reliable transport available.
The best way to enjoy your travel is to be fully prepared for the unexpected and that’s means knowing how you’ll get home in case of an emergency.

  • Car leasing for employees in international businesses - Entrepreneur Podcast Network – EPN
With so many companies having a global presence these days, there are increased opportunities and a need for employees to work in different national locations, in other countries, and on other continents. Many people appreciate the chance to travel the world with their work, but companies who operate on a global scale have many issues to consider, not the least of which is local transport for members of staff. Employees working at an international office have to get from A to B to see clients and visit other business premises, and a convenient solution many companies adopt is to lease vehicles for their employees to use.
There are valid reasons why leasing cars for employees is a good idea. It is extremely important that a positive impression is created with clients, customers and associates, and the type of car driven by an employee while at work can influence the perception of the company by others. A prestigious car can make a big difference because it conveys a positive impression to potential clients that a company is in good shape financially, and its corporate image should matter to every company. Every influencing factor is important and using the right type, and quality of vehicle is crucial. Driving a desirable car will also positively affect the mindset and boost the confidence of the employee.
Providing a vehicle for employees saves time and money
Providing international employees with a vehicle helps to save time and boosts their efficiency. Relying on public transport or having to arrange travel for every journey is somewhat unprofessional, time-consuming and tiring, which means that the employee is unable to work at his or her best.
Things to consider when looking for a business vehicle:
    What budget is available?
What image and identity does the firm wish to create?
Are there local customs or culture that will affect the choice of car?
How often will the vehicle be used and what mileage will it need to cover?
There are many places in the world where international businesses engage and interact on a daily basis, and where car leasing or buying deals are negotiated so that senior staff members have a suitable means of transport. An American company may have strong connections with the European market and will have employees working in London, Dublin, Paris, Munich or Madrid. Many large international firms also operate in Canada, with Toronto being a popular location for high-level businesses. Some companies have links to emerging markets like the Middle East, and again, it would be sensible to arrange for a vehicle to be available for employees as opposed to leaving them to use public transport.
It is necessary to be mindful of the culture and customs of a country, and this should be reflected in the choice of car. In some countries, it is crucial to indicate prestige by having a stylish and powerful car, but there are also areas where modesty is preferred, which means a smaller or more environmentally friendly vehicle would project a better image for the company.
Local solutions are best when it comes to sourcing cars for international employees
It is best to arrange the purchase or leasing of vehicles at a local level, as this will ensure the car is suitable; perhaps a 4 x 4 might be needed in an area subject to harsh winter driving conditions as experienced in Ontario. Advice from the local dealer will be invaluable.
An alternative to leasing is to purchase the vehicle(s) required so it may be that arranging finance through a car loan in Toronto is the sensible option for an international company having to provide employees with a vehicle during their time in Canada.
If the company has business premises in a location such as Toronto, the responsibility for obtaining car finance would rest with the local office,…

  • Top Tips to Make Money As a Music Producer - Entrepreneur Podcast Network – EPN
You’ve sent up your digital audio workstation, you’ve selected the right VST, you have all the equipment you need to be a producer, so now what? If you feel like being a music producer is something you’re passionate about, and you want to turn it into a career it can be daunting to know how to get started.
The competition level is high, and most producers aren’t making millions and working with huge celebrities.
Regardless, that doesn’t mean you can’t turn being a producer into a successful career, and the following are some tips to help you get started.
Sell Your Licensing To Your Beats
One of the easiest ways to make money if you’re a producer is to sell licensing rights to your beats. You can sell your beats on your own site, or you can use an artist service or music community. It’s one of the best ways to start building your career and develop a revenue stream, even in the early days.
There are different types of licensing routes you can take including lease licenses, exclusive licenses, and sync licenses.
You may find that selling your beats becomes your primary career or at least your main source of income, but you’ll to ensure you have a strong online presence and you can promote yourself to stand out from everyone else.
    Sell Drum Samples
Along with beats, another thing a lot of producers do is sell their drum samples. For example, other producers might not know how to play drums, or they might not have the right equipment, so they can turn to other people (which would be you in this equation) to get what they need.
This is another scenario where you could sell your drum samples directly through your own site, or you could work with a reputable music community.
Consider Trying To Get Your Music To An Online Radio Station
This tip is one of the tougher ones on the list, but you can also try and get your music on stations like Spotify or Pandora. These sites share profits based on how many plays you get, and while it can be tough to get your music there if you do and people like it can be a good passive stream of income.
    Work on A Freelance Basis
If you go on a freelance site like Upwork, you’ll likely be surprised at how many people are searching for talented composers and producers to work with them on projects. Some of these projects might be one-offs, while others can be ongoing and you can work from home and still earn.
Finally, the best thing you can do is create as much music as possible, and try to put yourself out there on as many channels and networks as you can. The more you can build your credentials and the more places your music can be found, the more opportunities are likely to come your way. The more people who can find you, the more likely you are to be hired for bigger projects.

  • How to Create a Print Marketing Strategy for Luxury Brands - Entrepreneur Podcast Network – EPN
Marketing for a luxury brand can be different in many ways to marketing for brands aimed at the budget market. Whatever you are selling, whether it is clothing, accessories, homeware, food or travel, you have to approach a high end audience in a slightly different way than you would market mass market products.
There are several reasons for this. One, is that when people buy high end goods or services, a part of what they are interested in is the whole shopping experience. Someone who buys their make-up in a high-end department store is not just paying for the designer brand products, but also the experience of shopping for them in a nice setting where the people working for the brand and the store will take time on them, allow them to try things, make recommendations and treat them as a highly valued customer. While they could get similar products in a high street shop, this service and experience wouldn’t be there – they’d simply pick stuff up off the shelves and head to the check-out.
The same is true with home furnishings. When someone goes to IKEA, they will pay less but have to do basically everything themselves, whereas at a high-end furniture shop they will have people who carefully consult with them about what they should buy, and deliver the products for them. It is this level of service that often incentivises people to choose luxury brands, as well as the prestige associated with them.
So how can you give your brand this sense of high end service and also make your products feel prestigious before the customer even interacts with your staff? Naturally a beautiful website is an essential, however print marketing can be a very good way to achieve this as well.
Why Print Marketing is Great for Luxury Brands
Print marketing is something that more mass-market brands have cut back on using in recent years as online services have enabled them to promote their wares and give customers information without the costs of a printed brochure or other print marketing assets. However, in the luxury market it is still very useful. This is partly because having a tangible brochure or advertising card on beautifully made, high quality paper gives that sense of prestige, but there are other reasons too.
For one thing, it shows that this is a brand that invests in giving its customers quality even before they become customers, and doesn’t spare expenses. For another, it shows that the brand appreciates that buying their products can be a major decision for the customer, and wants to give them something enticing they can take away with them or receive in the mail that allows them to browse and make those buying decisions at their leisure.
So, How Do You Strategise to Use Print Marketing Effectively With your Luxury Brand?
If you own or represent a brand in any sector that is targeting the high-end market, then it is clear that having some beautifully presented printed materials is going to be not only beneficial, but almost expected by your audience. You therefore need a strategy for producing them that really shows off the exclusivity you offer but also keeps costs affordable to your business.
Brochures often form the core of this strategy. In designing them, you want to have the best in photography that really shows off your products, and have a good layout design done by a professional. This really goes without saying. However, how you print and present this well-designed content can be more of a decision.
For very high end brands dealing in things like travel, corporate events and luxury home improvements (for example), it can be worth looking at how you can set your brochure apart and add an extra-luxe feel, for instance by using things like leather-like binders embossed with your branding to present your portfolio or brochure. • Kids4Community: A nonprofit organization run by kids for kids - Entrepreneur Podcast Network – EPN

Kenan Pala, The Founder of Kids4Community, a nonprofit organization run by kids for kids in San Diego, California joins Enterprise Radio to discuss how they are involved in the community.
Listen to host Eric Dye & guest Kenan Pala discuss the following:

    * Why did you decide to start Kids4Community? How did the idea come about?
    * Do you think it’s important for kids to start their charity efforts early in life? Why or why not?
    * Was it easy to get your peers involved at school?
    * I see you broke a Guinness World Record. Please tell us more about that.
    * When did you start pursuing triathlons?
    * How/Why did you come up with the initiative Kids Tri Hard?
    * How does Kids Tri Hard apparel differentiate from other triathlon gear on the market?
    * Are you doing any triathlons this year?
    * What do you plan on doing with the sales made via Kids Tri Hard Apparel?
    * Any upcoming initiatives or programs you’d like to mention?

The mission of the Kids4Community is that they want to help children and their families give back to their communities in a meaningful way. To do this, we work with charitable organizations to develop programs that are specifically meant to engage children from five years and up so they can be introduced to the concept of charitable work early in their lives.Very few charities have programs that are aimed at children and their families, which makes it difficult for people with young children to perform charity work. We believe if you have small children, you shouldn’t have to find a babysitter when you want to do something to give back to your community. You should be able to bring them along and do it together.
When kids are taught from an early age about the benefits of charitable work, they will carry that forward into their teen and adult lives. Not only does it benefit the charities they work with, it benefits the children themselves as they transition into young adults. Charitable work is a great way to build a resume and is fantastic to feature on college applications. To make sure kids are involved every step of the way, we also have a Kids Advisory Board. This board (comprised entirely of kids) will help us make decisions and provide direction.

  • What Hospitals Should Know About Automated Invoice Processing - Entrepreneur Podcast Network – EPN
There are thousands of hospitals in the U.S., and the running costs for each of them are typically more than $100 million a year, yet a lot of these facilities tend to have outdated accounts payable processes.
There are so many reasons to consider the automating invoice processing benefits for hospitals. It can help ensure serious mistakes are avoided, keep revenue flowing, and make sure that the hospital has the supplies it needs to provide top-of-the-line patient care.
The following are some important things to know about hospital invoice processing, and more specifically, automated processing.
    Costs
With an aging U.S. population and the growing demands placed on healthcare businesses, most hospitals are always looking for ways to cut costs, but they’re also overlooking some of the key areas they could do that easily without diminishing quality of care.
It is estimated that it costs more than $16 to process each manual invoice, so for a medium-sized hospital, these costs could be $250,000 a year or more. It’s a huge amount of money, and that doesn’t even take into consideration the human capital element of the time spent by the AP team. Automation can significantly lower these costs and help hospitals be more efficient in their spending and budgeting.
It’s not just the hard costs of processing invoices manually and administrative employee time to think about either. Hospitals utilizing automated solutions have the opportunity to save money in so many other places as well. For example, they can eliminate storage costs and take advantage of early pay discounts, while cutting out late payment penalties.
    More Visibility Into Spending
In line with the ever-increasing importance of sticking to tight budgets, hospitals need complete visibility into spending, and unless they’re automating their AP department, they’re not getting that.
Automated AP solutions provide hospital administrators with an easy, fast way to see in totality where money is being spent, and where changes can be made.
With hospitals not yet using automated AP solutions, there’s no real way to ensure that current vendors are the best option because gaining visibility into spending would be so complex. With an automated solution hospital CFOs can determine whether or not current solutions really are best, or if there are valuable opportunities to make changes.
    Compliance
Hospitals operate within one of the most rigid compliance environments in the U.S., and there’s no room for errors or noncompliance. These are issues that can be easily tackled with an automated AP software solution.
Hospitals can set specific rules based on the department and customize them as much as they need, and they can make sure that approvals are done correctly and within the framework of compliance.
When hospitals start using automated AP solutions the benefits are enormous, from cost savings to finding new opportunities to save money. It can also make sure the hospital is operating at a 100 percent compliance level regarding accounts payable, and the AP team can put their focus on other more value-creating areas.
