  • Steps to Effective Problem Solving: A step-by-step outline

    Send us Fan Mail

“A positive attitude may not solve every problem  but it makes solving any problem a more pleasant experience”

In this episode, Dana and Sara discuss the steps to effective problem-solving and why its important for any entrepreneur!

    • Define the problem - You want to get to the root cause of the problem by taking a close look at it to define the problem you may have

    • Gather information - This is the research phase in which you can ask experts, talk to anyone you may be going through the same problem.

    • Generate possible solutions - After you’ve gathered information, lay out everything. This generates curiosity and to think outside of the box

    • Evaluate the options + choose the best solution - Write down the pros and cons of each solution and determine what the best solution is for you!

    • Evaluate the results- After implementing the solution, did it work? Why or why not?

After hearing these steps, we encourage you to take these steps to solve any problem you come across.

  • Building Trust With Team Members

    Send us Fan Mail

The U.S. Department of Labor stated back in 2021, millions of workers voluntarily left their jobs. And no, it wasn’t because they didn’t like their job; it was something else entirely.

At some point in your business growth, you will need help. When you hire someone, they’ll be part of your team, but in order for your team to thrive, you must have trust in the workplace.

To build trust, you must realize that not everyone is the same. In order for your business to thrive, there’s a need for building trust with your team members.

You may be in the stage of your business where you don’t have a team behind you, but think of it like this: everyone you work with I.E. your partner, future clients and your potential team, are in fact your team. You’re creating relationships with these individuals and it’s an ongoing process.

While you’re working towards building your team, create an environment that they feel they can come to you no matter what. Make everyone feel valued and supported.

Why is it important to build a strong team?

    • Increased productivity- Leverage skills others have that you don't.
    • Better Decision making- everyone has different background, perspectives which can lead to better decision making.
    • Positive team culture- Feel valued, respected and supported

  • How to deliver effective communication as a leader

    Send us Fan Mail

“When you fail to communicate, your ability to deal with others will be compromised.”

Communication is all around us and there are many settings in which you’ll communicate. But have you really given it a thought on how your communication is a leader.

In this episode, Dana and Sara discuss how to deliver effective communication as a leader and ways you can start implementing today.

    1. Active Listening
    2. Be Open and Available for Discussion
    3. Trust and Credibility
    4. Review all Situations
    5. Tone of Voice + Body Language

    In this episode, listen for:

    • What it means to actively listen and why it's important for you as a leader while working as a team. Even if you’re part of a team or solely communicating with someone outside of work, listening is a skill in which you can practice daily.
    • Sara shares a story on how someone saw her as tough because of her body language and why it’s important to ask feedback so you are more aware
    • Looking at all points of view, reviewing situations and having discussions with your team to make sure conflict does not arise.

When you listen and I mean really listen, your team will have no problem coming to you. Your clients will rave about, therefore bringing in more money for your business because others hear and want to work with you, which makes everyone pretty happy.

Having the openness and flexibility will show your team you have actual time to spend with them. Not talking about endless rants but if they have a concern, questions, even ideas, they feel comfortable coming to you. And this goes hand in hand with trust and credibility!
