The Tigers traveled to Boone, NC and lost a close game to the Appalachian St Mountaineers 69-64. Johni Broome was fantastic yet again, with 21 points and 13 rebounds, while Tre Donaldson contributed 12 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists. Auburn built an early 9 point lead but eventually trailed by 11 midway through the second half. They cut the lead to 3 with less than 4 minutes to play, but couldn't score enough to steal the win. Next, Auburn plays Indiana on Saturday in Atlanta in the Holiday Hoopsgiving event.
