Brian Oswald Patrick Donn-Byrne, who lived from 20 November 1889 – 18 June 1928 was an Irish writer. A fair amount of his career was in America, but in his later years, his financial straits forced him and his wife Dorothea to return to Ireland.
The pacing and prose of today's story really called to me. The gentle stream of consciousness pacing of a man's mind when his wife has died, and his contemplations really seemed appropriate for this time of year.
And now, The Wake, by Donn Byrne
