Election Day 2018 has come and gone. The results were historic. A record number of women will serve in the House of Representatives next year. While many great candidates won, many also lost. This week, we're talking about the latter. Host Jenny Kaplan's mom, Kathy Manning, was one of the candidates who lost. Kathy ran as a Democrat to represent North Carolina's 13th District. She speaks with Jenny about loss, lessons from the campaign, and why it was all worth it. Experts talk about the election results and loss as a regular hurdle for politicians seeking office.
