Our guest, Dr. Christian Barton PT, PHD, A/Prof is an Associate Professor at La Trobe University, primarily focused on knee pain, osteoarthritis, and tendinopathy injury management and prevention, including running non-running related injuries. He leads GLA:D Australia, which aims to improve access to appropriate exercise and education for all Australians with osteoarthritis; and TREK, a project aimed at improving access to knowledge of evidence-based treatments. Dr. Christian is an expert in the management of difficult-to-treat, long-term injuries. He has a particular interest in osteoarthritis, tendinopathy, knee (including patellofemoral pain), and running-related injuries. Dr. Christianās main focus is providing individual advice, education, and care to empower people to manage otherwise unresolved injuries and pain, and exercise solutions to help regain their capacity to participate in activities important to them (recreation, sport, occupation, etc.).Ā
