If you are a listener who lives in Toronto and love running and beer, you may already know my guest. Chef Tara Lee and her brewmaster husband, Dave, own Eastbound Brewing Company: a brewer and farm-to-table kitchen in Leslieville. She is also a half, full and ultra-marathon runner, which I'm still unsure how she finds time for! Tara and I chat about run crews: the Eastbound Brewery Run Crew and The Food Runners, which Tara has run with since 2015. We discuss peer pressure in running and how it gets most of us to our first start lines, runners’ varying relationships with food, and pickled watermelon. Tara recorded with me onsite at her restaurant, so grab a seat and a beverage and settle in for a chat around the wood.
