Christianity has struggled for far too long with the goodness of God and what the good news of the gospel really means. We have made the gospel about Christ as sin payment to an angry Father, Who required a blood sacrifice to appease His wrath. If we have to hide behind Jesus in order to be loved and accepted by a distant angry Father, that does not feel like good news.
