00:26 – An overview of these chapters.

04:57 – Jesus is tempted. Six ways we can resist and overcome temptation.

26:07 – Jesus begins his ministry by reading Isaiah 61 in a Nazareth synagogue, declaring that he is The Son of God.

34:34 – Jesus is rejected and taken to be cast off a cliff, but evades the mob unharmed.

41:06 – Jesus went about all of Galilee, teaching, preaching, and healing all manner of sickness and disease among the people. Many miracles happened in Capernaum, a place with a significant name.

46:03 – Jesus leaves Capernaum to “build the kingdom of God.” The kingdom of God can be seen as present or future, depending on the context.

53:48 – Simon Peter is astonished by the miraculous catch of fish. Simon, James, and John forsake everything to follow Jesus and become fishers of men.

57:14 – Jesus heals the man full of leprosy. The Savior can and will perform miracles for us too.

1:03:17 – Jesus charged the leper who was healed to tell no man, but to go to his priest and be cleansed. Nevertheless, the fame of Jesus grew and great multitudes came to hear him.

1:07:25 – A man taken with palsy is let down through the roof of a home and is healed. Jesus refers to himself as “The Son of Man” (Luke 5.24).

1:11:14 – Jesus is more than a great moral teacher or a good man. He is who he claimed to be, The Son of God.

1:14:05 – Levi (Matthew), a tax collector, is called to follow Jesus. Matthew feeds Jesus in his home and some of the Pharisees are angry because they expect Jesus to follow their strict fasting rules. Jesus teaches that “new wine must be put in new bottles” (Luke 5.37-39).
