This week, I sit down with actress and director Scout Taylor-Compton to talk about her wild journey from child star, to scream queen, to the director’s chair. We get deep into the emotional toll of growing up in the business — from performing since age 7, to Hollywood’s unspoken pressures. Scout shares stories about her recent directing debut with Mickey Rourke, being raised in a funeral home, dealing with childhood trauma, and reclaiming her voice through filmmaking and self-discovery.
She doesn’t hold back — we talk about everything from intimacy coordinators to industry gatekeeping, including a jaw-dropping look at the audition process for women.
Whether you know her from Rob Zombie’s Halloween, The Runaways, or her latest podcast Talk Scary to Me, this is the real Scout like you’ve never seen her before.
