John Binder is an internet radio DJ at Radio Valencia. It's one of those oh-so-San Francisco gigs, one that springs from his love of music. But John also loves San Francisco, the city he's called home since the 1990s.

In this episode, John will share observations and stories about life in the city. His is a fresh take, because despite more than two decades here, he's not skeptical or curmudgeon-y.

Check back Thursday for Part 2, when John will talk more about music (live shows, recorded music, and his radio program, "Tighten Up Your Wig"). He'll also talk a little about his music/dance project: Gogo Ballet.
