Travis McClendon of The Guide Life, Zero Guide Fees, Arizona Strip guides and Arizona Elk Outfitters joins Sam on The Wild Initiative to discuss hunting the West. Travis reminisces a bit about filming hunts back in the day compared to the available technology now. He and Sam then discuss their mutual desires to be hunting the mountains until they’re old and gray. They cover a wide range of topics including the wide variety of hunting opportunities available in Arizona, the performance of the rut, the efficacy of bugling over the years and the behavior of mountain versus desert muleys. Travis closes things out by defining the difference between still hunting and spot-and-stalk.
