For this episode of the Planet MicroCap Podcast, I spoke with Jeremy Deal, Managing Partner of JDP Capital Management. I last chatted with Jeremy on the podcast back in September 2020, back when stonks only go up. Safe to say, the world was a little different then, and things have shifted quite a bit. We got to chatting offline about the current environment, specifically how he's approaching investing in the eye of the storm. Jeremy was an active investor back in the 2008-2009 time period, so I wanted his take on how things are compared to then. Also, he sent me a paper by Meritech Capital about “Durable Growth”, and he's using this framework to help him through this difficult investing environment. We wrap up talking about how Jeremy would deploy this framework in MicroCaps.
