This week Jess welcomed Nina Stevanovic to the podcast.

Nina has worked as a registered psychologist since 2015. Her journey up to this point has been varied, having had the opportunity to work within prison settings, schools and now private practice. She applies a holistic lens to therapy, seeing each person as an individual, with their own unique needs and experiences. Not something that needs to be ‘fixed’, but rather to figure out a way forward by looking at what is or is not in alignment.

She sees her role as creating a space where people are free to explore who they are, and to shine a light on the parts that may be difficult to see. Nina has a spiritual side to her, but she likes to think of herself as a bridge between the East and West, modern and ancient teachings, and science and spirituality. 

On this episode we dive into why self-awareness is so important in the mental health space, how to handle people who love staying in victim mode and how to stay in your lane when you are outgrowing the people around you.
