Chloe Black is a Tasmanian comedian, room runner, and (in her own words) ‘professional queer’. She has been doing stand-up for over 20 years, and whilst her image has shifted over time, her ability to put up with extreme discomfort and monotony has not. Most call-centre workers don;t last long, but Chloe worked in them for fifteen long and painful years. She dabbled in a bookshop/sex shop where in the tea room she had to move the amyl to reach the milk, which is an experience not many of us share. Chloe provides a perspective we hadn’t heard before on this pod, and we absolutely loved it. Enjoy this episode of ‘Work Hates’!
