Ep 33: Live from Ottertail, MN- Art, Work, and the God(s) We Worship

Listen Later

Today's episode was recorded live at The Creamery in Ottertail, Minnesota as part of an annual festival called "The Gathering" hosted by Firestarters Ministries.

In this live event, I shared for a bit on the connection between "Spirit, Aesthetic, and Labor" (covered in more detail in Episode 29)  or the connection between our art, our work & relationships, and the God or gods we worship.

Then we had a live panel discussion with some leaders in the Charismatic tradition who specialize in areas like music, record production, & various trades like carpentry.

This panel included:

Leonard Jones

Leonard is one of the most significant pioneers of charismatic worship music alive today. Over the last 20 years, expressions of musical worship that were once considered purely Charismatic or Pentecostal have become the mainstream norm in churches across the Evangelical spectrum. Many of the top evangelical songwriters in the church today were trained or influenced by Leonard Jones.

Chris Dupree
Chris is another pioneer in charismatic worship music. He helped launch the International House of Prayer in Kansas City, MO and has been a pastor, author, and speaker around the world.

Elijah Mosely

Elijah is a record producer and owner of Threshingfloor Audio. He's produced records for artists including Jonathan and Melissa Helser, John Mark McMillan, and Andy Squyres.

Wendell Danielson

Wendell is a brilliant craftsmen who owns Danielson Design Company. He is also member of the Firestarters church community in Ottertail, MN.

Peter Thiel

Peter is a songwriter, singer, and guitarist ...and also is a skilled craftsmen! He's is also a member of the Firestarters church community in Ottertail, MN.
