Being a Pastor or Minister can be extremely isolating and lonely. Pastors and ministers are people with burdens, brokenness, quandaries, and traumas - all while carrying a lot of responsibility that can be crushing. Often they feel they have to represent Christ well, they have all the answers, a perfect family, perfect life, and perfect personal conduct, while getting downloads from God and fulfilling the call on their lives in all the areas of their lives. All too frequently they have their own crises in God, the church, doctrine, and the trauma that can come with serving people in and outside of the church. All this can culminate in a recipe for disaster and hence the “fall” of pastors and ministers - one after the other. This carries overwhelming shame and condemnation, often the worst from the Church itself.
