Becky and Autumn sit down with Candy to share her story of betrayal trauma and healing. After about six years of marriage, Candy's husband told her he had a pornography problem. Candy explains that it was difficult at first to see the link between the porn and their lack of connection. Over time, she realized that, because of the betrayal trauma, she didn't trust herself or her decisions. To Candy, the pain of the betrayal felt like getting hit with a stun gun. Eventually, Candy found support and healing through working with the right therapist and faithfully attending an Addiction Recovery Program group for loved ones of addicts. Once she learned about the brain science behind addiction and internalized the truth that her husband's pornography addiction wasn't her fault, she was able to rely on the Lord once again. "I know God is there, and no matter what, I have Him to go to," Candy says.
