Becky and Tiffany sit down with Andi to share her story of betrayal trauma and healing. Andi shares how her husband's porn use didn't stop after marriage like she thought it would. She spent the next several years battling the feeling of not being enough, and in an attempt to mitigate the chaos her husband's up and down emotions brought in the home, Andi fought hard to stay even keeled in her own emotions. "I wasn't allowed to have a bad day," she recalls. She turned to God and the scriptures because she felt she had nowhere else to go. It was during their darkest time that Andi realized she deserved to be treated better by her spouse. Through therapy, full disclosure, and twelve step programs, Andi came to understand that she didn't cause the betrayal and she couldn't fix it. "I trusted God even more. I knew He'd gotten me through everything in my life thus far and that He could get me through the next step. He would hold my hand." Now, as she's been on her healing journey for betrayal trauma for several years, Andi has incorporated healing behaviors into her daily life. She is still trying to take things one day at a time and finding restoration through Christ.
