Emily Abbott is president of the Who is Carter foundation where she gets such great joy from running this foundation. It honors the memory of her son Carter. Mother of 5 children, 4 are still alive and one has passed, we learn the gut-wrenching but inspiring story of her journey through having a child who suffered a traumatic brain injury, how she dealt with that, how she moved through that, his healing and death and how she wants to share her experience so she can help others.

People cannot relate to losing a child until it has happened to you. Emily does such a beautiful job of sharing her story, what she did, what helped her and what could help you. Death is inevitable, it is one of the laws of nature, and we can move through death, or the lead up to death, with grace and empathy for the self and the individuals who are experiencing that loss. This is what Emily is doing through Who is Carter Foundation and The Brain Possible which Emily and her husband started and Emily runs now.
