How does it feel to be loved unconditionally - the good and the "bad" in you, no matter if you make a mistake, no matter if you look perfect... Is it even possible to be loved or love someone else unconditionally? Or is it just one of those unicorn theories?
That's a completely normal and natural question to ask, especially if you didn't always feel loved/appreciated by your parents. If you felt like you had to prove yourself, behave and act in the ways they approved, in order to get their positive attention.
So now it's really hard for you to feel like a great parent because you're torn between setting rules and boundaries (so that they don't grow up into being spoiled brats), but also loving them even if they make a mistake. Because you want them to feel safe with you, and tell you about their struggles.
So HOW?
How can you learn about unconditional love if you never got enough of it?
Come with me...
