Brenden Schaeffer discusses a mixed results type of night for Matthew Liberatore as the St. Louis Cardinals fell to the Pirates 8-4 at PNC Park on Monday.
Although Liberatore struck out seven and didn't walk anybody, he got bit by the big inning again and righties still seemed to feast on him. Is this considered progress or do we need to see more from his development?
The bullpen remains a touchy subject, too, as Chris Roycroft is struggling with command and falling short to this point of developing into the reliable weapon that Oliver Marmol could use out of him.
Offensively, this was a disappointing one for the Redbirds, but the newest Cardinal Yohel Pozo at least gave one awesome highlight and an epic bat flip!
