In a world which trumpets the anti-biblical message of “you do you” and walking in “your truth,” it can be easy for Bible-believing Christians to swing to the opposite extreme of assuming anything we’re passionate about comes from love of self or can’t be trusted.
But the Bible makes it very clear that God directs our paths and has very specific purposes for our lives.
And when we walk in them confidently, we honor Him.
Even so, it can be easy to question the path He has for us when we encounter naysayers and critics who are quick to point out our faults.
Does this mean we simply ignore them or capitulate to their demands?
I believe the answer is more nuanced. In this episode, we talk about setting our faces like flint toward the will of our Father while being willing to adjust when someone has a legitimate concern.
It’s a balance and one we will only strike well by being rooted in God’s Word and listening to His Holy Spirit.
