The St. Louis Cardinals took their first series loss since nearly a month ago in Atlanta, when they lost to the Tigers 5-1 at Busch Stadium on Wednesday.

Andre Pallante was not at his best and struggled with walks, but he kept the Cardinals in it.

Unfortunately, the offense did not produce the way you wanted to see in a bullpen game. Was there a bit of a hangover after the tough way they lost Tuesday night? It's an interesting question.

And as we often see, you have to be willing to use your whole bullpen in games that you're behind rather than chasing the game with your favorite reliever or two.
