Not only is Malindi Elmore the Canadian Women's record holder in the marathon, she finished 9th in the 2021 women's Olympic marathon. Malindi's race day motto "patience is power" took her through the grueling race, but also holds an even larger significance: 17 years may have passed since her last Olympic appearance, but she sure made up for lost time.
