Matt Otto is an adopted person based in New York City. He is a sound designer who received his MFA degree from the Yale School of Drama along with his BFA from Boston University. Matt shares the heart wrenching discovery that he was conceived as the result of a sexual assault. This difficult truth was not revealed to him even after he was in reunion with his first mom. The twists and turns of Matt’s story are captivating, inspiring and redemptive. Matt has taken his enormous talent and built a soul filling career, he has also built a beautiful family. We are joined by our in-house musician/ sound engineer Sean Farley to talk about the creative process and how sound/ music heals. This episode also includes and a on-the-spot surprise that moved us deeply. Matt is proof that we can find our way to full out living in spite of the difficulties adoption brings.
