Hello, this is Teacher Bear，我是Bear老師。

小朋友，熱呼呼的夏天到了。

Kids, the hot summer is here.

你觀察過夏天的夜晚嗎？

Have you ever observed a summer night?

讓我們來聽聽看這位詩人是怎麼描述夏夜的。

Let's listen to how the poet describes it.

每一段，Bear老師會先用中文讀一次，然後再用英文讀一次。

I will read each section once in Chinese and then once in English.

即使聽不懂，小朋友也可以享受詩的音韻之美喔。

Even if you don’t understand, you can still enjoy the beauty of the poetry’s rhyme.

蝴蝶和蜜蜂們帶著花朵的蜜糖回來了，

羊隊和牛群告別了田野回家了，

火紅的太陽也滾著火輪子回家了，

當街燈亮起來向村莊道過晚安，

夏天的夜就輕輕地來了。

The butterflies and bees returned bearing honey from the flowers.

The flocks of sheep and cattle said goodbye to the fields and went home.

The flaming sun also rolled its fiery wheels back home.

When the street lights came on and bid the village goodnight,

The summer night came gently.

來了！來了！

從山坡上輕輕地爬下來了。

來了！來了！

從椰子樹梢上輕輕地爬下來了。

撒了滿天的珍珠和一枚又大又亮的銀幣。

It’s coming! It’s coming!

It climbed down gently from the hillside.

It’s coming! It’s coming!

It climbed down gently from the top of the coconut tree.

The sky was filled with pearls and a big, bright silver coin.

美麗的夏夜呀！

涼爽的夏夜呀！

小雞和小鴨們關在欄裡睡了。

聽完了老祖母的故事，

小弟弟和小妹妹也闔上眼睛走向夢鄉了。

(小妹妹夢見她變做蝴蝶在大花園裡忽東忽西地飛，小弟弟夢見他變做一條魚在藍色的大海裡游水。)

A beautiful summer night!

A cool summer night!

The chicks and ducklings were locked in the pen and slept.

After listening to the grandmother's story,

The little brother and sister also closed their eyes and dreamed.

(The little sister dreamed that she turned into a butterfly and flew east and west in the big garden,

and the little brother dreamed that he turned into a fish and swam in the blue sea.)

睡了，都睡了！

朦朧地，山巒靜靜地睡了！

朦朧地，田野靜靜地睡了！

只有窗外瓜架上的南瓜還醒著，

伸長了藤蔓輕輕地往屋頂上爬。

只有綠色的小河還醒著，

低聲地歌唱著溜過彎彎的小橋。

只有夜風還醒著，

從竹林裡跑出來，

跟著提燈的螢火蟲，

在美麗的夏夜裡愉快地旅行。

Slept, all slept!

In the hazy moonlight, the mountains slept -

In the hazy moonlight, the fields slept.

Only the pumpkins on the melon frame outside the window were still awake,

stretching their vines and gently climbing to the roof.

Only the green river was still awake,

singing softly as it slipped past the arching bridge.

Only the night wind was still awake,

running out of the bamboo forest,

following the fireflies holding lanterns,

traveling happily in the beautiful summer night.

小朋友，在這位詩人的眼裡，夏夜是不是特別美呢？就像一場美麗的夢。

Kids, in the eyes of this poet, is summer night particularly beautiful? Just like a beautiful dream.

你想不想在夏夜裡做個美夢呢？

Do you want to have a sweet dream on a summer night?
