In this special episode of the Deer IQ podcast I’m going to be starting a story-based series called “So there I was - hunting stories of epic adventure.” This is where I will tell a story of a specific buck, and also break down how and why it worked out. I’ll be inserting these here and there throughout this year. I’ll also apply some of the principles we’ve been going over in the 6 steps or core competencies of highly effective hunters, and how those worked in this real world hunting situation. This hunt is about my 2016 Ohio 13 point, and the story is kind of wild and shows the interconnectedness of whitetail hunters - in both success and failure.
