  • American Individualism is a Myth

Rugged individualism poses some big problems to the Christian life which is a life lived in community—a spiritual family. Rugged individualism is also a sure way to shoot yourself in the foot when it comes to accomplishments. We don't get anything done by ourselves.

  • How To NOT Put Out Fires

Firefighter-mode is a result of moving through life off-centered, moving independent of your relationship with God. Side effects of this lifestyle may include an abundance of pet peeves, finding yourself in energy draining situations, and forcing yourself to do something because of piety or shame. But there is a way out! Moving from center increases peace.

  • Weak Self-worth = Strong Overwhelm

How do you define your self-worth? Evan & Liz Frerichs take a crack at it and offer some ideas about how to make sure the value we come up with is accurate. An accurate self-worth can act as a shield against others' false definitions of who we are as Christians.

  • When You Can't Find Yourself

Why is it so hard to keep track of the closest person to you—yourself? If we're not intentional, all manner of outside forces will attempt to define who we truly are. • Head vs. Heart

The heart is the wellspring of life – your passionate and adventurous side. But often as Christians, we favor our head—the logical, security seeking side. Evan and Liz Frerichs discuss ways Christians can engage in our God-given passions to get out of a rut. Our safety and security rest solely on God and that should free us to push back when our head is trying to cripple us with caution.

About Epic Every Day

From the publisher's feed

We live in a world of overwhelm—not enough time, not enough energy, not enough money... the list of not-enoughness could go on and on. Most of us can only dream of finding margin. Most of us struggle to have time, energy, etc. to really fulfill God's calling in our lives, to be the people He's designed us to be. Without changing how we live, we will never find margin to thrive.
