For Episode 24 of the Flatirons Syndicate Podcast, I had the chance to sit down with Dave from Rallispec and pick his brain about pretty much every aspect of the Subaru drivetrain.

Dave founded Rallispec over 20 years ago, and he has a wealth of experience building pretty much every type of Subaru from modified street cars, Rally Cars, and track cars. He has more experience with just about any kind of Subaru transmission than anyone and I wanted to get his perspective on what works, and what doesn't and especially about options for the STI 6-speed. One of the topics that I particularly wanted to ask him about is dog-box gear sets, and sequential gear sets for the STI 6-speed because of the amount of experience that Rallispec has with those types of transmissions. We spent some time talking about this and Dave answered all of the questions that I had or could think of on these topics, and I think that this podcast is a great source of information if you are looking to upgrade your Subaru transmission.
