In this episode, I’m sharing what will most definitely be an unpopular and controversial opinion about investing in your business. But it’s an important one. You see, there is a lot of marketing out there that pushes the idea that you need to invest a ton of money in your business in order to be worthy of success. That if you aren’t willing to “put your money where your mouth is”, that it isn’t going to happen. Or that throwing money at your business is a sign to the universe that you’re willing to do whatever it takes to make it work.
And I’m not saying there isn’t some truth to that. But I’ve also seen this mindset cause a lot of entrepreneurs to not be wise stewards of their money. Yes, you can always make more. Money is not a finite resource. But let’s face it, numbers are black and white. Either you have the cash or you don’t. And as you’ll see in this episode, I’m definitely not saying never to invest. At all. Risks are necessary for business.
But I am going to share my personal opinion on finances and investing, the intentional decisions I’ve made that helped me to make sure I was using my resources wisely, and how that set me up for success in the future. I’m also going to share about the tool I used that really helped me get to that place of using my resources wisely. So, with all of that being said, let’s go ahead and dive on in.
