On this week's episode of True Crime New England, Katie and Liz talk through the details of a cold winter day in January 2019 when recent rehab escapee, Everett Simpson, elbowed his way into the car of a young woman and her 4-year-old son in the parking lot of the Mall of New Hampshire. Forcing the mom/son duo to drive all over Vermont, all while harassing them and acting extremely manic, Simpson brought them to a motel in White River Junction, Vermont and raped the young woman. After finally letting the pair go, Everett got all the way to Pennsylvania before he was caught. His trial occurred in April of 2023 and as of now, his sentencing is still pending.
