Welcome to the Corporate Treasury 101 podcast!
Today, we talk about the Silicon Valley Bank, and try together with Hussam to understand what happened but most importantly, what are the consequences and lessons to learn for Corporate Treasurers.
We could hardly do this one just by ourselves, so we invited the amazing Lisa Dukes.
Lisa has had almost 20 years of experience in complex corporate organizations amassing endless experience in innovation within treasury corporate finance and derivatives.
In 2020 she was invited to join the United kingdom ’s Foreign exchange Committee chaired by the Bank of England and last year was also appointed as the UK private sector representative to the Global FX committee.
Last but not least… Lisa has also co-founded Dukes & King, a corporate finance and risk management boutique using that innovation to help more corporates achieve their strategic objectives.
Lisa is… quite impressive. The conversation might get a bit technical at some point, but we made sure with Hussam to summarize and translate into our words each sections of the episode.
In the episode, expect to learn:
If you are very new to Treasury, we highly recommend you to listen first to the following episodes, so you can have a better understanding of the different terms we tackle in this episode
Last note before diving into our fascinating conversation with Lisa, we are now on Linkedin!
If you would like to reach out, suggest a topic, ask a question, or simply say hi, we would be happy to have you! Just look for Corporate Treasury 101, that is us ;)
